Restoring several missing teeth

Three missing teeth next to each other are something different from three spread across the jaw. In the first case a bridge or an implant bridge can close the span. In the second the abutments for that are missing.

A continuous gap

Up to about three or four missing teeth a bridge is possible if the abutments are strong. Beyond that the span becomes too long and the abutments are overloaded.

Scattered gaps

Here the Partial denture is the classic solution – as a clasp denture or, if it is to be less conspicuous, as telescopic work.

The mixed form

Often the best solution is a combination: a few implants as additional abutments, on them a removable piece of work that sits firmly and can nevertheless be cleaned.
