The implant denture: removable, but firm

The implant denture is taken out like an ordinary denture, but it does not hold by suction – it clips onto implants. The difference in daily life is great.

How it is fastened

Press studs on two implants: the simplest and cheapest variant. Bar: the implants are joined by a metal bar and the denture clamps onto it – firmer still, a little more elaborate to clean.

Why the lower jaw in particular

Because that is where the classic full denture most often fails to hold. Two implants in the lower jaw are regarded internationally as the restoration with the best ratio of effort to gain.

What to bear in mind

The retaining elements wear out and are replaced every few years – that is normal and not a defect. And the denture still has to be relined, because the jaw changes with implants too.
