Fixed prostheses on four implants

The idea: instead of placing an implant for every tooth, four – two straight at the front, two angled at the back – carry a fixed bridge for the whole jaw. The angling makes use of bone that would otherwise not be sufficient.

What speaks for it

Often no bone graft needed, fewer implants than in classic concepts, and in many cases a fixed temporary restoration on the very day of the procedure.

What has to be considered

Four abutments carry everything – if one fails, the whole restoration is affected. Cleaning under the bridge demands care and aids. And it is the most expensive restoration for the toothless jaw.

Whom it suits

People who do not want a removable solution, cope well with the care and can bear the costs. The surgical assessment belongs in the practice and on the Implantat-Berater.
